Update on Paintwork Defect in Selected Products

This is to inform you about the results of our continued investigation of the paintwork defect issue found in certain products, that was initially announced on 11 July 2025 (Fri). Once again we sincerely apologize for the worry and inconvenience this incident has caused.

Main Causes of Defect
We have confirmed that the following factors can and may cause defects on the painted surface:

• Chemical deterioration of the UV coating agent used
• Incomplete curing of the UV coating agent during the manufacturing process

These symptoms may occur in units with inadequate curing of the UV coating agent, units stored in hot and humid conditions, or units exposed to large amounts of direct sunlight. Therefore, this defect does not occur in all units of the same product. Additionally, this is not caused by mold or other organic growth.

Conditions That Accelerate Deterioration

• Storage in hot and humid environments

*We have confirmed that humidity in particular accelerates the progression of symptoms.
*Placement of product in environments with prolonged UV exposure may also affect quality.

Support Provided Based on Our Investigation and Testing
■ Products currently in mass production / scheduled for future production
The use of UV coating agents will gradually be discontinued.
■ Products where discontinuing use is difficult / products that are already mass-produced The UV coating agent currently in use has shown a lower rate of defect occurrence compared to the previous type, but symptoms may still occur depending on individual differences between products.
For applicable products, we will re-inspect them before shipment, and in the unlikely event that symptoms occur, we will offer an exchange or a refund.

Regarding the Change in Specifications for Affected Remanufactured Products
The following four products, currently open for reproduction orders, will be remanufactured without the use of UV coating agents:
As a result, the skin texture (smoothness), feel, and luster of the remanufactured units may differ slightly from the units currently in your possession. We sincerely apologize for this and ask for your understanding.
